An award-winning, passionate and committed lecturer with more than 30 years of professional and lecturing experiences in public universities and private higher education institutions in Singapore, Vietnam and China, James has expertise in corporate finance, financial accounting/reporting, management accounting, organisational psychology and positive psychology, management/leadership, corporate governance and sustainability reporting. He is well-versed in contemporary approaches to curriculum development, teaching pedagogies, adult learning, and trends in transnational higher education. 

On the corporate front, James has worked in financial services, FMCG, hotel and property development, and management sectors. He was formerly an independent director for two listed companies in Singapore, where he provided leadership and strategic advice on strategic finance, new business development, overseas opportunities, board matters, corporate governance disclosures, performance measurement, and professional development.

James holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance from the University of Western Australia and 10 master's degrees in positive psychology and coaching psychology, business administration, business research, digital education, marketing, adult learning and leadership, sustainability, and investment and finance. He is a fellow member of several accountancy bodies in Singapore, Australia and the UK. He is also a Fellow member of the Advanced HE.
