
Dr. Jocelyn A. Rivera-Lutap, MSArch, DPA, FUAP, is an architect-educator and researcher with over three decades of advanced service to academia and the built environment. She is a Professor and currently serves as Quality Assurance Coordinator and OJT Coordinator at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), College of Architecture, Design, and the Built Environment, where she previously served as College Dean. A champion for institutional innovation, she is co-founder of the CADBE Research and Innovation Collaborators, the founder of the student publication Freehand, and the proponent of PUP's specialized program in Bamboo, Architecture, Research and Design. Her academic credentials include a BS in Architecture from Far Eastern University, an MS in Architecture from the University of Santo Tomas, a Doctor of Public Administration from EARIST, and an advanced doctoral unit in Educational Management from PUP. Dr Rivera-Lutap's impactful research spans alternative building materials, architectural pedagogy, and heritage -driven urban transformation. Her professional milestones are highlighted by a prestigious Erasmus+ teaching mobility grant to the University of Alicante (2027), an institutional research grant from the National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA), and serving as the conference chairperson for the International Experts for Research Enrichment and Knowledge Exchange (IEREK). She is an elevated Fellow of the United Architects of the Philippines (FUAP), the Chairperson of the UAP National Ethics Council for fy 2025-2026, and a founding member of the International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture and Urbanism (INTBAU) Philippines Chapter. Her lifelong dedication has earned her the PFPA Excellence and Distinction (ExceeD) Award, a 30-year university service milestone, and the PUP Saliksik Award Pagkilala for consecutive Scopus-indexed research.
