Dr. Joey Miranda Suba is a graduate of Doctor of Information Technology, Master of Arts in Management, Doctor of Philosophy in Management in progress, and currently serves as the Assistant Vice-President for Academic Affairs (AVPAA), School of Technological Sciences, and Concurrent Dean of the College of Information Technology at the University of the Assumption, Pampanga, Philippines. He also has eight (8) years of teaching experience in the Graduate School of Business and Public Administration, handling courses related to information technology, business analytics, management information systems, and emerging technologies.
Professionally, he has served as a Systems Analyst, Business Consultant, and Certified Network Security professional with extensive experience in information systems, ICT management, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives.
An active researcher and academic leader, Dr. Suba has published four research papers in international refereed journals and serves as an international research reviewer for Scopus-indexed journals and other scholarly publications. His research works have been presented in various international conferences held in Singapore, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, and most recently at Harvard University.
He also serves as Guest Lecturer Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, George Mason University, and at Dr. V. N. Bedekar Institute of Management Studies. Dr. Suba is the recipient and Project Leader of the Commission on Higher Education Institutional Development and Innovation Grant (IDIG). He is likewise recognized as the visionary behind the “Genesis” UA Technology Business Incubation Center funded by the Department of Science and Technology Philippines.
In the field of information technology education leadership, Dr. Suba served as the 2014–2018 National Economic and Development Authority Regional Development Council Private Sector Representative on ICT. He became President of the Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators (PSITE) Region III from 2016–2020, PSITE Academy Executive Director and Vice-President for Luzon in 2022, National President from 2023–2025, and currently serves as Vice-President for External Affairs for 2026.
At present, he is also the President of the Association of Computing Education Deans and Program Heads.
