Dr. Aybar Holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from Nova South Eastern University in the United States. Also earned a Master's Degree in Defense and National Security from the Juan Pablo Duarte y Diez Defense University and a Bachelor Degree in Law from Universidad del Caribe UNICARIBE.

Throughout his academic and professional career, Dr. Aybar has pursued extensive executive and specialized education in leadership, technology, economic development, negotiation, managment, and global affairs. His studies include Negotiation Mastery at Harvard Business School (HBS Online); Artificial Intelligence: Implication for Business Strategy at MIT Sloan Executive Education; and a Diploma Program in Strategy and Geopolitics at the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD).

Participate in numerous high level national and international conference, summits, and academic forums. Blackboard Together 2026, QS Global Skill Week 2026, QS America 2023, QS Higher Ed Summit 2022, Latam Leadership Summit in 2019 Virtual Education Gran Caribe 2018 and 2022, among others international forums.

Dr. Aybar currently serve as President of the board of Director of Fundación Educativa del Caribe, Chancellor of Universidad del Caribe (UNICARIBE). Also president of the Board of Academia Militar del Caribe (AMC). President of Fundación Latinoamericana de Educación e Innovación (FLEI), y member of the Board of Director at Instituto de Formación Docente Salomé Ureña (ISFODOSU).

He serve as a member of the National Council for higher Education, Science ant Technology (CONESCYT); two term president of the Dominican Association of universities (ADOU); and president od the Association of Private University (AUPRI). 

In recognition of his contributions to higher education, Dr. Aybar received a distinction from the National Council for Higher Education, Science and technology (CONESCYT) in 2024. In November 2016, he was awarded with the key to the City of Miami by Mayor Tomas Regalado, recognizing the contribution of UNICARIBE COLLEGE to the city's educational and economic development and the establishment of a higher education institution in Miami. 

Also received the Congressional Order of Merit.
