
Julie Ar E. Sibala is currently serving as a faculty member under the College of Arts and Humanities and the current Sustainability & Ranking Engagement Coordinator at the University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC) in Davao City, Philippines. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication, graduating Magna Cum Laude, from UIC in May 2023. He is presently pursuing his Master of Development Communication at the University of the Philippines – Open University, further advancing his expertise in strategic and community-oriented communication.
His dedication to professional growth is demonstrated by a range of certifications in the fields of graphic design, digital advertising, performance marketing, and integrated marketing communications, acquired through institutions such as the University of the Philippines Open University, the University of Colorado Boulder, and IE Business School in Spain. Alongside his academic role, Mr. Sibala also serves as the Institutional Ranking Engagement Coordinator and Internal Auditor of the Planning and Quality Management Office.
Mr. Sibala’s creative talents have gained both regional and national recognition. In October 2023, he was named the National Winner of the 60th EU–Philippines Anniversary Logo Design Competition, a testament to his ability to capture diplomacy and collaboration through visual storytelling. He was also a finalist in several other prestigious competitions, including the Creative Caraga Logo and Branding Contest, the EU Whiz Film Competition, and Kilig Film Fest, and was the winner of the Hiraya 48-Hour Guerilla Filmmaking Contest.
Mr. Sibala is also affiliated with professional organizations such as the Philippine Association of Communication Educators (PACE) and the Southeast Asian Media Studies Association (SEAMSA). His combined experience in teaching, institutional quality management, visual communication, and digital strategy enables him to contribute meaningfully to the evolving landscape of media, communication, and higher education.
