Kartika Yulianti, Ph.D is a faculty member at the Character Building Development Center (CBDC), BINUS University. She is an active researcher in the field of education, with research interests spanning character education, educational leadership, parental involvement in children’s education, and school–family–community partnerships. She also has a strong interest in storytelling as a means of supporting learning and character development.

Kartika began her academic journey at Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ). She subsequently pursued her master’s studies at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands and Michigan State University in the United States. She earned her Ph.D. from Radboud University in the Netherlands, supported by StuNed, Fulbright, and NFP scholarships. Her doctoral dissertation examined the relationship between parental involvement and transformational leadership in primary education.

Kartika serves on the Editorial Board of The Qualitative Report, a Q1 Scopus-indexed journal based in the United States. She is also a member of the Editorial Review Board of The School Community Journal in the United States, serving alongside scholars from leading universities, including Harvard University, Yale University, and Johns Hopkins University.

In 2024, Kartika received the Best Presenter Award from Monash University Indonesia. She also served as a national instructor for the Guru Penggerak Program from 2021 to 2024. Beyond her academic and professional activities, she regularly participates as a storyteller in NgaBukuRit activities during Ramadan with Taman Baca Anak Lebah.

Kartika actively participates in international conferences and has published scholarly works in international journals. She is also frequently invited as a speaker and keynote speaker by universities, non-profit organizations, government institutions, including the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), and international conferences.
