
Ts. Dr. Chee Ken Nee is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Computing and Meta-Technology, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris. He holds a PhD in Educational Technology from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and is a registered Professional Technologist (Ts.) under the Malaysian Board of Technologists as well as a Senior Member of IEEE. With over 12 years of experience in the education sector, including service as a secondary school teacher and Assistant Director at the Educational Technology and Resources Division, Ministry of Education Malaysia, he is widely recognized for his contributions to educational technology and digital innovation in teaching and learning.
His research interests include educational technology, mobile learning, augmented reality, virtual reality, robotics in education, artificial intelligence, and computer-based learning. Dr. Chee Ken Nee has published numerous ISI- and Scopus-indexed research papers and has actively contributed as a reviewer, keynote speaker, and judge for international innovation and education competitions.
Among his notable achievements, he was recognized as one of Malaysia’s Top 30 Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts in 2020 and received the Global Teacher Award 2020. His innovative project, Virtual Reality Teaching Training (VIRTT), gained international recognition as a finalist in The EdTech Awards and the Gartner Eye on Innovation Award for Education, and later won recognition at the GESS Awards 2024.
