
Khaled Mabrouk is a Mexican-Egyptian PhD Candidate in Education at UNICAF University, Zambia, where his doctoral research focuses on the application of neuroeducation to enhance teaching and learning in secondary education through innovative pedagogical approaches. His research interests include neuroeducation, Project-Based Learning (PBL), gamification, educational technology, instructional innovation, assessment, and student engagement.
Khaled holds a Master of Arts in Education Leadership and Management from the University of Derby (United Kingdom) and a Master of Arts in Secondary Education from The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa (USA). His academic background combines educational leadership, curriculum development, instructional design, educational research, and evidence-based teaching practices, equipping him with a strong foundation for advancing educational innovation and teacher development.
With more than a decade of experience in international education, Khaled currently serves as an IB Diploma Programme Global Politics Teacher and IB Examiner in Mexico. He also has extensive experience teaching IB English Literature, English as a Second Language (ESL), and the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). In addition, he previously served as a Model United Nations (MUN) Coordinator, mentoring students in diplomacy, international relations, public speaking, negotiation, and policy analysis.
From 2021 to 2024, Khaled was an Online Adjunct Instructor at the University of the People (USA), where he guided undergraduate students in educational research, qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, academic writing, and learner success strategies.
Khaled has completed several professional certifications through the International Baccalaureate Organization, including IB Diploma Programme Global Politics (Category 2), MYP Language Acquisition (Category 2), and Making the PYP Happen, as well as a Diplomado en Innovación Educativa from Tecnológico de Monterrey and a TEFL/TESOL certification from TEFL Org UK.
As an active scholar and educator, Khaled has presented at international conferences and published research on innovative teaching methodologies, gamification, and educational technology. His work is driven by a commitment to developing evidence-based, learner-centered educational practices that foster engagement, motivation, and meaningful learning experiences in diverse educational settings.
