
Laurence Bertoux leads the Innovation Laboratory (Nodolab) at the Vice Presidency of Learning for the Future at Tecnológico de Monterrey. As an architect and doctor in urban planning, her career has taken her from France to Mexico, with extended stays in Chile and the United States. Starting from an independent practice in architecture, she has served as a public official in urban planning, driving urban development projects with a focus on urban ecology and resilience.
She joined Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2013 as a professor-researcher. In 2014, she took on the role of Director of the Department of Architecture, where she founded the Laboratory of Innovation, Design, and City. In 2017, she was appointed Associate Academic Dean of the National School of Architecture, Art, and Design, a position from which she has contributed to the creation of the TEC21 model, promoting a transdisciplinary vision with shared inputs among different schools. She has also driven educational innovation projects, academic quality, and participated in gender committees.
In 2021, she was invited to lead the Platforms Initiative of the 2025 strategic plan, whose ambition is to expand the institution's impact with new value creation models. This initiative, in its evolution, has participated in the creation of the new Vice Presidency of Learning for the Future and has consolidated as a laboratory of innovation and artificial intelligence.
