I am an Associate Professor of
Civil Engineering and a registered Professional Engineer with over 35 years of experience
in technical research and academic leadership.
My unique background – combining a Doctorate in Engineering – Geotechnical
Engineering with a degree in Master of Science in Civil Engineering and Master
of Professional Studies in Development Education – allows me to evaluate
educational innovation through both a rigorous technical lens and a pedagogical
framework.
Throughout my career, I have held
key administrative roles, including serving as College Research Coordinator,
College Extension Coordinator and Department Chairperson where I led initiatives
ranging from DOST-funded hydraulic modelling to community resiliency projects. An award-winning researcher on the
international stage and an experienced conference session chair, I am dedicated
to fostering educational excellence that drives real-world impact. I look
forward to contributing this multi-faceted expertise to the judging panel of
the 2026 QS Reimagine Education Awards.
