Dr. Mahfuz is an Associate Professor with an illustrious academic career spanning multiple countries and prestigious institutions. He holds an exceptional educational background, including a PhD and an LLM from the University of Manchester, UK, as well as an LLB (Hons) from the University of Wolverhampton, UK, establishing himself as a leading authority in the field of law.

Dr. Mahfuz's professional journey encompasses teaching roles at renowned universities across the UK, Bangladesh, and Saudi Arabia. He notably served as the Founding Head of the Department of Law at East West University and the University of Business and Technology (UBT). Additionally, he held the esteemed position of Vice Dean at the College of Law at UBT, further underscoring his leadership capabilities in legal education. Currently, he is holding the position of Chair of Department of Law and Diplomacy at Dar Al-Hekma University.

As a Barrister of Law of England and Wales and a member of Lincoln’s Inn, Dr. Mahfuz combines academic rigor with professional legal expertise. He has contributed significantly to legal scholarship, publishing numerous articles in leading journals in the UK and Australia. His primary research interest lies in Insurance Law, with notable contributions such as his book chapter, "Gambling on My Life and My Right to Live."

He has served as a judge for the prestigious QS World Reimagine Education Awards and as a reviewer for the Athens Journal of Law.
