
Mr. Mark P. Vacunawa is a dedicated educator, licensed professional teacher, and a certified research specialist over eight years of experience driving academic excellence, research innovation, and institutional effectiveness for higher education and senior high school education in St. Dominic College of Asia. He previously acted as Internal Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2018 and plays a key part in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the institution’s quality management system while championing data protection and privacy awareness across the academic community. His extensive involvement in accreditation processes and continuous improvement initiatives strongly aligns with the goals of reimagining education through structured innovation and institutional transformation.
Mr. Vacunawa brings rich expertise in educational innovation and technology integration, with substantial experience in teaching and coordinating ICT, Empowerment Technologies, Media and Information Literacy, Robotics, and Purposive Communication.
As a Certified Research Specialist, he has led Academic and Purposeful Writing, ICT, and Research programs, organized Research Expos, and chaired the production of the SDCA SHS Research Compendium.
Currently, he is pursuing his Doctor of Philosophy major in Educational Administration at the Adventist University of the Philippines. He holds a Master of Arts in Education major in Learning Management from St. Paul University Manila and a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English from Saint Louis University – Baguio, where he graduated Cum Laude. His teaching excellence is recognized through multiple “Excellent Faculty” and “Faculty of the Year” awards.
Mr. Vacunawa is also a recipient of the Internationalization Champion Award and has experience in AUN-QA Programme Self-Assessment Report writing.
