Dr. Martha Teresa Ramírez-Valdivia holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, an M.Sc. from University of Missouri-Columbia (USA), and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (Nicaragua). She is an Associate Professor at Universidad de La Frontera and currently serves as Director of Institutional Analysis and Development.

She has more than 20 years of experience in higher education quality assurance, institutional accreditation, and engineering education. Dr. Ramírez Valdivia is an institutional peer evaluator for CNA-Chile and Middle States Commission on Higher Education, as well as an engineering evaluator for ICACIT. Her expertise includes quality management systems, accreditation, internationalization, continuous improvement, and Lean Six Sigma applications in higher education, healthcare, and manufacturing.

She has led national and international research and institutional development projects related to quality assurance, sustainable supply chains, innovation, healthcare systems, and higher education management. Dr. Ramírez Valdivia has also contributed extensively to accreditation and continuous improvement initiatives across Latin America and has published in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences on topics including quality assurance in higher education, institutional internationalization, and healthcare efficiency,
