Dr. Melanie Viloria-Briones is a respected academic leader dedicated to institutional advancement and global collaboration. During her tenure as concurrent Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) and VP for Research and Extension Services at Mabalacat City College (MCC), she significantly strengthened the institution's research culture and pioneered the enhancement of academic systems and processes.

Currently serving as the Vice President for Academic Affairs and International Engagements (VPAAIE) at the City College of San Fernando Pampanga (CCSFP), she has continued her legacy of operational excellence by refining institutional workflows. As the head of the Internationalization (IZN) team, she spearheaded initiatives that elevated the college’s global reputation, leading the institution to achieve significant milestones in prestigious global rankings such as WURI, THE Impact Rankings, UI GreenMetric and QS.

A key figure in Philippine media education, Dr. Viloria-Briones is the founder of the School Press Advisers Movement, Inc. (SPAM, Inc.) and was recently appointed Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Campus Media and Publications.
