Michael Babu is an education and social development professional with over a decade of experience designing and managing community-led education, youth empowerment and service-learning initiatives in Kenya and across East Africa. At Strathmore University’s Community Service Centre, he has led programmes that engage thousands of students, volunteers, and communities, mobilising significant resources for education and community development.

His work includes the award-recognised Msingi Project, Service-Based Learning and accelerated learning initiatives, with a strong focus on expanding opportunity for young people and strengthening collaboration between universities, communities and development partners. His work has received international recognition, including recognition from Reimagine Education.

Michael is passionate about education innovation, youth development, mentorship and the human skills young people need to thrive in a rapidly changing world. He brings to the Reimagine Education judging process practical experience in programme design, implementation, impact assessment and community-led innovation.
