
Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Zulfeequar Alam is a Professor of
Marketing and Assistant Head of the Department of Marketing at the College of
Business Administration, University of Business and Technology (UBT), Jeddah,
Saudi Arabia. He holds a PhD in Marketing from Aligarh Muslim University,
India, and brings more than two decades of higher-education teaching, research,
academic leadership, and quality assurance experience, including over 18 years
of service in UBT, Saudi Arabia.
His academic and professional expertise encompasses
marketing management, strategic and international marketing, consumer behaviors,
digital marketing, sustainability, green marketing, retail management,
marketing research, and integrated marketing communications. Prof. Alam has
made sustained contributions to curriculum development, assurance of learning,
program assessment, and academic accreditation. He has served as a Key
Performance Indicators Coordinator and core member of the Marketing Program’s
accreditation and quality initiatives, contributing to successful national
accreditation processes under the National Commission for Academic
Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA), as well as the institution’s QS
recognition.
Prof. Alam maintains an active research profile with
publications in internationally indexed journals, particularly in the areas of
sustainable marketing, consumer behaviors, digital marketing, corporate social
responsibility, higher education, and AI-enabled strategic decision-making. His
scholarly work has received recognition through several institutional and
international awards, including the Distinguished Researcher Award in Marketing
(2025) and the Dr. Abdullah Dahlan Best Scientific Research Award.
In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, he has served in a range of academic leadership, examination, research coordination, promotion-review, and committee roles. He has also acted as an external examiner for doctoral dissertations, supervised undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, participated in editorial and scientific committees, and served as a judge for the QS–Wharton Reimagine Education Awards. His profile reflects a strong and continuing commitment to academic excellence, quality enhancement, research impact, faculty development, and institutional advancement.
