
Dr. Murugan Thangiah is a Senior Lecturer and Stream Coordinator for the American Degree Program (Computer Science) at School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Taylor’s University, known for his commitment to student-centered teaching, interdisciplinary innovation, and impactful research. He earned his PhD in Information Technology from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS in 2019.
He is an active member of the Impact Lab – Clean Technology, where he has contributed to multiple research projects focused on sustainability and technological innovation. Dr. Murugan has published extensively, with numerous indexed journal articles and book chapters, reflecting his commitment to advancing research and knowledge dissemination.
Dr. Murugan has authored numerous indexed publications in Scopus and Web of Science journals, as well as book chapters with leading academic publishers, reflecting his commitment to advancing research and knowledge dissemination. His teaching portfolio spans programming, software engineering, and data science, and he actively mentors students in competitions, hackathons, and research initiatives.
