
Dr. Nicole Shammas is an
Assistant Professor at the Higher Colleges of Technology, Dubai Campuses and
holds a Doctor of Education with a research focus on intercultural learning and
experiential education. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy
(SFHEA) and brings long-standing professional expertise in future foresight,
intercultural intelligence, educational coaching, and personality-based
learning frameworks, developed through advanced training and sustained practice
in higher education.
Her research and publications
span human-centered teaching in the age of AI, sustainability in higher
education, employability and job readiness, oral history, intercultural
intelligence, and future-focused learning. She has published in SCOPUS-indexed
journals and edited volumes and has presented widely at international
conferences.
Dr. Shammas has served as
conference co-chair, invited speaker, and journal reviewer, and is currently
engaged in interdisciplinary research on sustainability, human agency, oral
history and future skills in higher education. She is a recipient of multiple
institutional awards for leadership, research, and innovation.
