
Nurhidayah Azmy is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Civil Engineering Technology with extensive leadership, accreditation, and quality assurance experience in engineering education. She served as Director of the Centre for Academic Accreditation (CAA) from February 2024 to January 2026, after previously holding the position of Deputy Director of the Accreditation and Compliance Unit, Centre of Academic and Innovation Competitiveness (CAIC), from January 2022 to December 2023.
She is actively involved in national accreditation and quality assurance activities as a Panel of Assessor for both the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC) and the Engineering Technology Accreditation Council (ETAC), Board of Engineers Malaysia, since 2020. She is also a Certified Officer in Quality Assurance in Higher Education under the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and serves as an MQA Panel of Assessor for Provisional Accreditation in Civil Engineering, Project Management, and Occupational Safety and Health. Her assessment experience includes postgraduate programmes at UUM, UTM, and UPM, as well as external assessor roles for Civil Engineering and Building Technology programmes at UCYP, KPTM Kuantan, and USM.
Beyond accreditation, she is an active trainer for Outcome-Based Education (OBE) courses across faculties in UMPSA and has attended training in Transformative Curriculum Design Management at AKEPT. Her commitment to educational innovation is reflected through her participation in the QS Reimagine Education Award 2025 and her success at CITREX 2026, where her innovation, “EXACT-A+ Learning Framework: An Industry-Linked Teaching Innovation for Transformative Engineering Education,” won a Gold Medal and Special Prize.
