Dr Ofelia Palermo is Associate Professor of Relational Leadership and Deputy Head of International at Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University. A Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, she brings extensive experience in international business education, strategic partnership development and cross-border programme leadership. Her work focuses on how leaders operate across institutional, cultural and functional boundaries, with particular attention to collaboration, relational accountability, responsible management and the translation of strategy into practice.

Ofelia has led complex international education partnerships involving multiple European and global institutions, supporting quality, governance, student experience and sustainable collaboration across different regulatory and cultural contexts. Her teaching and scholarship connect international business with leadership practice, helping managers move beyond technical expertise towards broader commercial, customer-facing and globally informed decision-making.
