
Parmjit Dhugga is the Head of Skills at the University of
Warwick, leading the University’s institution-wide strategy for skills,
employability, and experiential learning within the Education Group. With over
20 years of experience spanning higher education, industry, and professional
services, Parmjit brings a blend of strategic leadership, pedagogic expertise,
and practical insight into the evolving skills needs of global employers and
the diverse Warwick student community.
In his current role, Parmjit oversees the development and
delivery of Warwick’s cross‑university skills and
employability development for undergraduate and master’s students, including
the award‑winning Warwick Award, the URSS, Thrive programme, and
the programme of intercultural awareness training. His team leads collaborative
initiatives across academic departments, central services, and external
partners to create experiences that build students’ global, interdisciplinary,
and work‑ready capabilities.
Parmjit’s leadership in the employability and skills sector
is nationally recognised through his role as Chair of the Graduate Futures
Institute’s Skills Task Group and as founder of the Skills Special
Interest Group, which brings together UK universities to share best practice in
student employability skills development.
