Professor Farheen Hassan Ph.D., SFHEA is an Educator of Business Studies at AIUB from 1999, with Teaching, Training, QA, Research and Consulting experience in Education, NGO and other sectors. Currently she is working as Director of Institutional Quality Assurance Cell. She served as Head of the Department, Director of Undergraduate Program, Associate Dean of Faculty of Business Administration and Additional Director of IQAC-AIUB. In addition, she is a practitioner of QA in Higher Education as Academic Auditor, Resource Person, Facilitator, External Peer Reviewer and Trainer of UGC, Bangladesh Accreditation Council and British Council. She is a Facilitator for "Center of Teaching-Learning" and "Teaching Excellence Performance" of British Council. She has completed BBA, MBA, MDS in AIUB and Ph.D. from IBA, University of Dhaka. Currently, she is pursuing Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Naresuan University, Thailand and has been awarded Research Fellowship Grant by UGC, BD in 2024. She has been awarded Senior Fellowship of Higher education Academy by Advance HE, UK and has completed numerous Training and Development programs on QA, Pedagogy, C4D, Research.  She has taught as a Course Instructor in University of Madras, India; and University of Gavle, Sweden as a Visiting Lecturer. She is a pioneer in different capacities on QA in HE in BD (SDG, EDI, ESG, Accreditation and Ranking, Employability, Curriculum, Pedagogy and OBE) with World Bank; IIEP-UNESCO, Paris; ISAS-IAU-UNESCO; MTC Global, India; IEB, IAB; ISO; APQN, QS, WURI, THE; Action Aid; IFC; UNICEF (C4D); Magna Charta Observatory, UK-SoS, IAU, APQN, PAASCU, Erasmus + and other. She has conducted numerous training and workshops for the Teachers of HEIs on QA, OBE, Pedagogy in many universities of BD. She has jointly authored books on Business Studies, Business Communication for Employability published by British Council; Employability and IQA by IIEP-UNESCO; On HE by Boston College, USA and several Book Chapters on QA and HE. She has published several peer-reviewed research papers in international journals with high impact factors, chapters and case studies in different books.  She is a certified Trainer for Trainers (ToT) and a Member of Expert Committee for the development of “OBE Curriculum” and “Teachers Training Module” of UGC,BD; Local Consultant for Professional Development of Teachers under HEAT project of World Bank and UGC. She presented conference papers in international forums, conducted Seminars, Talk, Training, Workshops and continuing her service as Reviewer, Editor of different journals and conferences locally and globally. She is Mentor and Member of QA Committee of other universities in Bangladesh nominated by UGC and BAC. She is awarded as “Women of Inspiration in Academia” by BOLD (Bangladesh Organization for Learning and Development); “Peace Award” for “Contribution of Women towards Peace” by Junior Chamber Industry and “MTC Global Award of Excellence as Management Educator” in India. Her research interest includes QA in HE, C4D and Women Empowerment.
