Dr. Rawaa Ahmed Faris Al-Saaday is a distinguished  academic, researcher, and sustainability advocate with more than fifteen years of experience in higher education, scientific research, environmental sustainability, climate action, and community capacity-building. She is recognized for her interdisciplinary contributions that integrate advanced technologies, scientific innovation, environmental awareness, and sustainable development initiatives.

She currently serves as an Assistant Professor at University of Baghdad – Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies, where she specializes in laser applications, nanotechnology, advanced sensing systems, and smart technologies. Her scientific contributions include numerous internationally published research papers in prestigious Q1 and Q2 journals and conferences, particularly in the fields of medical technologies, environmental applications, nanotechnology, and sustainable scientific innovation.

Dr. Al-Saaday has played an active role in climate action, environmental awareness, and sustainable urban development programs in cooperation with UN-Habitat.
