in education field. Joined in Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) General Education
Cadre in 1996 and got Post Retirement Leave (PRL) in March 2025. PhD in Entomology,
Zoology from Institute of Biological Sciences (IBSc), Rajshahi University,
Bangladesh in 2010. Completed so many national and international training
programs from Australia, New Zealand, Africa, Europe, Thailand, Malaysia, Sri
Lanka, and Bangladesh.
Worked as a Vice
Principal (Professor, Zoology) in Carmichael College, Rangpur, MoE, Bangladesh.
Responsibilities were overseeing day-to-day operations of college, ensuring
safe, inclusive, equitable learning environment for both students and teachers/staffs,
collaborating with parents, teachers, workers, officials, students to promote
IE and gender- related challenges, managing conflicts between
teachers-students, student-students, staff-students ensuring a fair approach to
dispute resolution. Assisted the principal and acted as interim principal for
ensuring gender-inclusive decision making and equitable college governance. Previously,
I have been blessed with many long term roles such as Deputy Project Director,
Directorate of Inspection & Audit (DIA), MoE, Bangladesh, Assistant Project
Director (Policy, Training & Monitoring and Focal Point of Gender and
Inclusive education) at ‘2nd Teaching Quality Improvement in Secondary
Education’ project, Assistant Director of Human Resource Management (HRM) Unit
of ‘Secondary Education Sector Development Project (SESDP)’, Assistant
Professor, Zoology in Jagannath University, Dhaka; Lecturer, Zoology in Govt.
Jagannath College, Dhaka; Research Officer and Focal Point of Women in
Development (WID) at National Curriculum and Textbook Board, Dhaka, and
Lecturer, Zoology in Rangpur Govt. College, MoE, Bangladesh. These roles
have given me the opportunity to gather in-depth knowledge about both national
and international education policy, different domains, secondary & higher
education curriculum design, review, dissemination, evaluation,
syllabus/textbook preparation/evaluation etc., subject based knowledge,
pedagogy of classroom teaching, question moderation, student
assessment/evaluation, teachers training institution’s/teachers’ skill
development, teaching quality improvement, planning for capacity building of
govt. officials, project planning, implementation, management, monitoring,
evaluation, project completion report of both govt. and ADB. Expertise have in
generating QPR, GAP, SECPF, Due Diligence, Environmental Safeguard, DMF Report;
local and overseas training modality development; FGD; coordination with
stakeholders, PCU, DSHE, MoE personnel, relevant schemes and development
partners.
