Prof. Reimar R. Tingga is an Assistant Professor IV, educator, researcher, ICT leader, and technology innovator at Aklan State University (ASU)–Ibajay Campus, Philippines. He is currently a full-time faculty member of the Computer Science Program, where he teaches, conducts research, mentors students, and contributes to the development of innovative technology-driven solutions for education and community development. He also serves as a Researcher and Project Leader of Computer Science Extension Projects, focusing on the application of emerging technologies to address institutional and community needs.

From July 1, 2024 to July 31, 2026, Prof. Tingga served as the ICT-MIS Director of Aklan State University, providing leadership in the planning, implementation, management, and improvement of the University's information and communication technology systems and digital initiatives. His leadership contributed to the advancement of technology-enabled education, institutional information systems, online services, data management, and digital transformation across the University.

Prof. Tingga has also gained international experience in educational innovation and evaluation. He served as a Judge for the 2025 QS Reimagine Education Awards, contributing to the evaluation of innovative projects from educators, institutions, and innovators from around the world. This experience provided him with valuable exposure to emerging practices and transformative approaches in teaching, learning, educational technology, and higher education.

As a researcher and project leader, Prof. Tingga has been involved in the development and implementation of artificial intelligence, e-learning systems, smart farming technologies, blockchain-enabled applications, digital governance solutions, and other ICT-based innovations. Through his Computer Science extension projects, he works to translate research and technological innovation into practical solutions that benefit schools, government institutions, rural communities, and other stakeholders.

His professional and research interests are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 – Quality Education, SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 13 – Climate Action, and SDG 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.

As a QS Star 2026 Judge, Prof. Tingga brings a combination of higher education experience, Computer Science expertise, ICT leadership, research engagement, extension project leadership, and international judging experience. His perspective is grounded in both academic practice and the practical implementation of technology-driven initiatives, allowing him to contribute meaningfully to the assessment of institutional quality, innovation, impact, and excellence in higher education.
