
Biography – Dr. Ronahi Majdalawi
Dr. Ronahi Majdalawi is an academic researcher, curriculum development expert, and education consultant with a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Jordan. With nearly three decades of experience spanning K–12 teaching, higher education, national policy-making, and international consulting, she is a recognized voice in educational transformation across the Arab region.
Dr. Majdalawi currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Home Teacher Department at the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Arts – UNRWA, a position she has held since 2012. Her academic work is complemented by extensive practical leadership, including her role as a former Executive Board Member of the National Center for Curriculum Development (NCCD) in Jordan, where she contributed directly to shaping national curriculum frameworks.
Beyond Jordan, Dr. Majdalawi has led major curriculum reform initiatives across the Gulf region. She served as Team Manager for planning and designing integrated curricula for the Qatar Educational Council and as Team Manager for evaluating and enriching social studies curricula for the Sultanate of Oman. She has also acted as an Assessor Consultant for the UAE's Ministry of Education – including teacher licensing, excellence awards, and e-content evaluation.
Her expertise in assessment and quality assurance is further reflected in her work as an Assessor Consultant for the Queen Rania Al Abdullah Award for Excellence in Education, and for the Excellence Team of the UAE Ministry of Education Award.
Dr. Majdalawi is a Certified Trainer (ILM) and has completed advanced professional development at Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) in Managing Evidence and Leading Learning, as well as training at Johns Hopkins University in communication strategy and at PSUT in metaverse, gamification, and visual learning for education.
She is also the founder of Al-Saloon Al-Tarbawi – a grassroots movement designed to ignite new, bold conversations about education in Jordan, bringing together educators, policymakers, and innovators to reimagine teaching and learning.
