Dr. Ronnie Espergal Pasigui Vice President for Research, Planning, and Development, and Extension University of Cagayan Valley

Dr. Ronnie Espergal Pasigui is a distinguished academic leader and global evaluator recognized for his sustained contributions to higher education innovation and internationalization. He serves as a QS Reimagine Education Awards Judge (2025) and has been a Level 2 Judge for the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) for three consecutive years (2024–2026). His commitment to advancing transformative practices in education is further reflected in his appointment as Member of the Board of Directors of the World University Network for Innovation – Leaders (WUNI-Leaders) group.

As Vice President for Research, Planning, and Development, and Extension at the University of Cagayan Valley (UCV), Dr. Pasigui has led institutional initiatives that strengthen global engagement and academic excellence. He has presented scholarly papers internationally, including in Korea, Vietnam, and Taiwan, and is recognized as a pioneer of Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) at UCV. Dr. Pasigui was recently awarded as Outstanding Plenary Speaker during the International Conference in Vietnam (2026). He is also a recipient of the Who's Who in World - World ranking Strategists (2026) by the World Association of Educators, Researchers and Authors. He was also one of the CHED National Nominees for the 2025 ICONS Award -Emerging Leader Category.

A sought-after resource person on world university rankings, internationalization, Outcomes-Based Education (OBE), and innovative curriculum design, Dr. Pasigui continues to champion educational innovation and global collaboration in the Philippine higher education landscape.

Beyond academia, Dr. Pasigui is the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Association of Professional Teachers, Inc. (NAPTI), where he has served as President for seven consecutive years, demonstrating unwavering commitment to elevating the teaching profession in the country.
