Dr Safaa is a postdoctoral and PhD Mechanical/Biomaterials Engineering graduate from the University of Teknologi Malaysia. His research focuses on the design and development of novel biomaterials and their related applications. He is an associate professor and  Deputy Dean of Research, International, and Industry at the Management and Science University, Shah Alam, Malaysia. Dr. Safaa is a registered professional engineer in a number of engineering associations and societies and has more than 15 years of experience in biosensor/materials design and implementation. He is the author of more than 150 research articles published in well-known and highly impacted journals. He has also been awarded a number of special gold, silver, and bronze medals for many innovations and innovative national and international engineering and technology exhibitions. He is also an editor and reviewer for several well-known journals and publishers.
