
Sajjad Hussain is a Professor of Information Engineering at the James Watt School of Engineering, University of Glasgow, UK. Sajjad Hussain did his masters in Wireless Communications in 2006 from Supelec, Gif-sur-Yvette and PhD in Signal Processing and Communications in 2009 from University of Rennes 1, Rennes, France. His research interests include 5G self-organizing networks, industrial wireless sensor networks, machine learning for wireless communications, and technology-enhanced student learning techniques. Sajjad Hussain has over 15 years of academic experience with roles as principal/co-investigator in several funded projects. Sajjad Hussain has authored/co-authored around 150 journal and conference publications along with 1 authored book and 1 edited book. Sajjad Hussain is a recipient of the Teaching Excellence Award, College of Science and Engineering, University of Glasgow, on two occasions, 2020 and 2024. Sajjad has a funding portfolio of ~£7M for his research related to the Metaverse for education and training and the applications of AI/ML for intelligent communication systems.
