Dr. Salu Dsouza has been working as a Teacher, Teacher Trainer, Soft Skills Trainer, Special Educator, Life Skills Educator, Counsellor, IELTS Trainer, International Examiner, ELT Consultant, Lecturer/Instructor & Researcher for the past 26 years. He has M.A. Degrees in Political Science, Public Administration, and English Language & Literature. Besides this, he has a first-class bachelor’s degree in Education. He was awarded University First Rank & Two Gold Medals for securing the highest number of marks in Post-Graduation study. He did his M. Phil and PhD from Central University of Gujarat. He is a University of Cambridge, UK, ESOL certified Teacher of English. He did CELTA (2007) from University of Cambridge, UK. He is a trained and certified School Accreditation Assessor (QCI/NABET). He has a Certificate from Trinity College London in using ICT in classroom. He had taken up teaching assignments in the Republic of Maldives & in Eritrea (North East Africa). He was involved in research & teaching in the Department of Humanities at National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) - Surathkal. He has attended seminars, workshops, and conferences in India & abroad, national as well as international & presented papers on the theoretical contours of diaspora, literary, socio-cultural, political, and economic aspects of Indian diaspora in the Caribbean, USA, and other parts of the globe. Some research papers are published. He was one of the moderators & plenary speakers for a few conferences/seminars & paper presentation sessions.

He is the recipient of prestigious Jagdish Chandra Sharma Indian Political Science Association National Award - 2016 for encouraging young researchers dedicatedly working on Indian Diaspora. He was also awarded the Best Research Scholar Award for the year 2018 by DK International Research Foundation on Sunday 27 May 2018. He received Mahatma Gandhi National Award of Best Researcher – 2018 by the Mahatma Gandhi Education and Welfare Society, Parbhani, Maharashtra State, India on Saturday 30 March 2019 at Aurangabad in Maharashtra State, India. He was awarded Global Youth Icon Award 2022 by International Council for Education, Research and Training (ICERT), Haryana, India. He received Mahatma Gandhi National Award for Best Teacher – 2021 from the Mahatma Gandhi Education and Welfare Society, Parbhani, Maharashtra State, India on Saturday 24 December 2022 at Hotel Vatika, Wasmat Road, Parbhani District – 431401, Maharashtra State, India.

He has been a Reviewer of Abstracts & Research Papers for seminars and conferences. He is one of the Reviewers of research papers for a few online journals including SCOPUS Indexed Journals. His interest is in Multidisciplinary & Transdisciplinary Studies. He visits Schools, colleges, universities, & institutions as an invited Speaker & Resource Person. He was teaching at Christ University, Lavasa campus near Pune, Maharashtra State, India.
