
Santiago Solórzano is a university professor, researcher, and entrepreneur in artificial intelligence and robotics. He currently serves as a full-time professor and Coordinator of the Unidad de Innovación Tecnológica — UITEC at Universidad de Las Américas, Ecuador, where he leads technological innovation, applied research, and industry collaboration projects.
He is the founder of STEAMLabs and a strategic partner of JAKA Robotics in Ecuador, promoting solutions in collaborative robotics, artificial intelligence, eHealth, wireless sensor networks, and automation. He has also worked as a UNDP consultant on AI-driven rehabilitation and serious games projects.
His career combines education, research, entrepreneurship, and social impact, especially through STEM education, technological inclusion, and digital transformation initiatives. He has been recognized through awards and programs such as Líder IT, QS Reimagine Education, and SinergIA Awards, and has published research in IEEE and SCOPUS-indexed venues.
With a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence from UNIR, his professional mission is to bridge Latin America with global innovation by advancing the use of AI and collaborative robotics to transform industry, education, and society.
