Dr. Sonny Soriano, is a leader whose journey in education, research, and global collaboration truly embodies excellence, innovation, and service.

He is a distinguished academic consultant of the Maranatha Christian Academy Group of Schools and a visionary educator whose influence extends far beyond the Philippines. His global academic footprint includes being an international exchange student at Dongseo University in Busan, South Korea, and serving as an accompanying professor at Josai International University in Japan. His passion for nurturing future educators was also evident in his role as former Association Secretary of the Philippine Association of Pre-Service Teachers, Inc. (PAPSET).

A scholar and leader of remarkable depth, he has conducted numerous institutional research studies, coordinated national and international seminars, and contributed meaningfully to the advancement of education. His work has earned recognition both locally and internationally, reflecting his unwavering commitment to academic excellence.

He served as School Principal of Maranatha Christian Academy and holds a doctoral degree in Mathematics and Educational Management Leadership. As a research panelist, adviser, and resource speaker, he has shaped countless academic journeys. His expertise has also been sought globally, serving as a panel of judges across various institutions and organizations.

An accomplished researcher and author, he has published in peer-reviewed international journals, including Web of Science and Scopus-indexed publications. He is also a guest lecturer for Vibal Group and an author of books in quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-method research.

His research excellence has been recognized on the global stage—earning the Best Paper Presenter (Gold Prize) at Kasetsart University in Thailand, and further accolades in Vietnam. He has also been honored as Best Poster Presenter (Gold Prize) and Best Oral Presenter during the 4th International Multidisciplinary Research Conference in Bangkok, Thailand.

His international engagements include serving as a guest lecturer in prestigious universities, participating in cultural and academic exchanges in Indonesia and Thailand, and being invited to the International Experts Forum in Oman. He was also awarded the Outstanding Leadership Award in Government Service during the 5th International Multidisciplinary Research Conference at UP Diliman.

A globally recognized leader, he currently serves as a Board of Director of the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) and was elected as International Relations Officer–Vice President under CHED Region 1. He is also a Public Relations Officer of WURI and one of only 35 professors worldwide selected as a WURI Mentor—guiding innovation and global partnerships.

A CHED HUSAY Scholar, he was chosen to represent the Philippines in the Canadian Bureau for International Education Project. He further strengthened his leadership expertise through an executive program in Leadership and Management at the University of Pennsylvania–Wharton School in the United States.

Today, he continues to make a profound impact as the Director for External Affairs and Linkages and International Relations Officer of Urdaneta City University.
