Tarek Barhoum is Head of the Department of Computer Engineering and Robotics and Director of Student Affairs at Arab International University, Syria. He holds a PhD in Electronic Engineering with a specialization in Computers and Automation. His academic and research interests include artificial intelligence, deep learning, intelligent control systems, robotics, computer vision, natural language processing, fuzzy systems, and the Internet of Things. He has experience in teaching, academic administration, research, peer review, and international academic collaboration, and has participated in several international academic and mobility programs. He is also an IEEE member and an active reviewer for scientific journals and conferences.
