Educated in Russell Group universities, Dr. Charles is a post-positivist researcher who specialises in evidence-based education. He has experience with quasi-experimental design, randomised control trials, computational statistics, and secondary data analyses. Dr. Charles is an Accredited Researcher with the UK Government’s Office for National Statistics, and is a certified Data Analyst with the Royal Statistical Society. He joined the Faculty of Education at the British University in Dubai in 2019 as an Assistant Professor and was the inaugural Director of the Centre for Research in Digital Education. To-date, he has supervised over 70 postgraduate theses/dissertations, he has been an international examiner for ~20 PhD vivas, and as a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), his excellence in teaching and educational leadership is recognised globally.
