
Ts. Dr. Thamilvaani Arvaree is an Assistant Professor at the School of Computer & Mathematical Sciences, Faculty of Science and Engineering, University of Nottingham Malaysia. She is a Professional Technologist (Ts.) registered with the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT), a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), UK, and a certified Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Trainer.
Dr. Thamilvaani has successfully completed the Certified Technology Transfer Professional (CTTP) programme, certified by Putra Business School, Universiti Putra Malaysia, and moderated by Global Intellectual Property Ventures. The programme equipped her with expertise in technology transfer, industrial exploitation, intellectual property commercialization, and innovation-driven value creation.
Her teaching and research interests encompass artificial intelligence, software engineering, data science, health informatics, educational technology, and outcome-based education (OBE). She is actively involved in curriculum development, programme quality assurance, and professional accreditation, serving as an accreditation panel member and Chief Assessor for the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT). She is also regularly invited as an external academic advisor, programme reviewer, and external examiner for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Dr. Thamilvaani has received numerous awards at national and international innovation and invention competitions, including IPEX, I-JaMCSIIX, PIID, VIC21, and several others, recognizing her contributions to research and innovation. She also serves as a reviewer for various international journals and conferences in the fields of computing, engineering, and educational technology.
Beyond academia, Dr. Thamilvaani is passionate about community engagement and social impact. She has been featured on a national radio programme in recognition of her contributions towards the empowerment of Indian women. She actively leads and participates in corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives in collaboration with schools, promoting STEM education, computational thinking, and memory enhancement techniques (Brain Gym) among primary school students to inspire the next generation of learners.
