Ms Vinorra Shaker is the Head of the School of Psychology at Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU), Malaysia, where she also serves as Academic Leader and Senior Lecturer. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and International Studies and a Master’s in Counselling, and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Education with research focused on profiling levels of risk among youths in urban poor populations. This work reflects her commitment to advancing mental, emotional, and behavioural knowledge to uplift communities and inform policy interventions.

A leading voice in cyberpsychology in the southeast asian region, Vinorra plays a pivotal role in shaping curricula that integrate psychological theory with the digital landscape, bridging human behaviour studies with technology. Her vision is to connect traditional psychological frameworks with contemporary understandings of identity, cognition, and emotion in the cyber realm.

Her expertise has been recognised on international platforms, having presented her work to networks of cyberpsychology researchers in France, the United States, and Australia. She has also spearheaded the development of the first Master of Applied Psychology in Cyberpsychology in Southeast Asia, soon to be launched at APU. Through these contributions, Vinorra advances cross-cultural dialogue and scholarly work at the intersection of psychology and technology.
