
Dr.
Waleed Al Rajhi is a distinguished academic and accomplished higher
education leader with expertise in research, lecturing, educational program
management, and institutional governance. He holds a PhD in Health Sciences
from the University of Dundee (UK), with a focus on health-related quality of
life, an MSc in Professional Practice from the University of Central Lancashire
(UK), specializing in change management, and a Higher Diploma in Nephrology
Care from the Higher Institute of Health Specialties, Oman.
He has
substantial teaching experience, having served as a lecturer at the University
of Central Lancashire and Cardiff University, and as an Honorary Tutor at
Cardiff University. His leadership roles include Head of the Nephrology Nursing
Program and Assistant Dean for Academic Support Services and Student Affairs.
He currently serves as Dean of Planning and Quality Management at the
University of Nizwa, Oman, where he leads strategic planning, quality
assurance, and institutional development initiatives.
Dr. Al
Rajhi is actively engaged in national and international higher education
initiatives related to accreditation, rankings, and health sciences education.
He is a registered reviewer with the Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation
and Quality Assurance of Education and has contributed to several accreditation
processes. His research interests include end-stage renal disease, research
methodology, evidence-based practice, and quality management in higher
education.
