Access, Diversity & Inclusion Award
The Access, Diversity & Inclusion Award recognises educational institutions, organisations, and partners that have designed and implemented impactful initiatives to reduce systemic barriers to education and create inclusive, empowering learning environments.
This category celebrates projects that expand access and participation for learners who face structural, social, cultural, or institutional barriers to education. These barriers may relate to factors such as socio-economic conditions, gender, disability, language, cultural identity, displacement, crisis, or geographic context, among others. Initiatives may operate across a wide range of settings, from highly resourced institutions to low-resource or constrained environments, and may address inclusion at the level of learners, educators, communities, or systems.
ADI excellence is defined not by scale, polish, or technical sophistication alone, but by appropriateness, intentionality, and responsiveness to context. Successful initiatives demonstrate a deep understanding of the specific barriers they seek to address and apply thoughtful, ethical, and often locally grounded strategies to overcome them.
Projects should provide clear evidence of how access has been expanded, inclusion strengthened, and a sense of belonging fostered, resulting in tangible educational outcomes and sustained impact. The award recognises initiatives that contribute to more equitable, resilient, and inclusive education systems in diverse contexts worldwide.
